Whats the difference between this and a double leg round? any clips I've seen of people doing it it just looks relatively the same.

Sorry, not trying to sound dickish, I just genuinely would like to know =[

Argh! I can't tell the difference >.<

When does he grab the round leg? I know he looks like he grabs the non chambered leg.

It looks awesome though haha, like Tai gets mad height and a huge extension, but I don't see the diff between it and a normal dleg round.

It's a single leg round where you grab the chamber with the opposite hand. There was a thread on this a while ago.

I have to give props to Taimatsu on this one, cause he created a pretty cool variation of the Crescent Singleleg.

At any rate, a Taifighter is Crescent Singleleg Round variation that includes a "figure-four" grab with the kicking leg before the kick is actually released. If you rotate CCW, then when you jump for the Taifighter, you're left leg is going to be extended [just like in a Crescent Singleleg] and you right leg is going to be tucked in.

Now when you reach for the grab...you have to use your left hand to to reach past your extended left leg, and grab the ankle of your right foot. Doing this smoothly is of course an importance, so you also want to swivel your right leg a little bit so that your ankle finds your left hand quickly. This usually causes your legs to form a "figure-four" [4] while in the air.

Once you the grab is established, you want to be physically kicking your right leg outwards, except that your left hand is keeping it from going anywhere. Once your left leg is pointing towards the sky, turn your hips and release the kick.

Well a double leg is just basically a fielong with your legs together haha.

I mean it's not a significant variation but he did make it and it is a little thing which he can 'brand.' It's better than trying to give it some sort technical name. I.e. grand master swipes which are usually gainers etc ahaha. It's just for fun!

Haha. Thanks sessh. Fine analysis!

I don't mind if you guys think it shouldn't have a name. Really, I didn't expect that anyone would catch on to it, and I still don't believe that it belongs in the terminology books. It's just a fun variation to me. That's all.

Oh shit! that second one in the video I caught that really well, I was really debating this in my mind all night if it was a proper variation worthy of a name and even though it's subtle, I think that second one counted it for me.

I always thought of a Taifighter as a rollerblading trick.

Right hand suzuki method>round out :good:
