Is the Canon HV30 good form filming other stuff to?

I'm thinking about getting a CanonHV30, but I want to do other stuff with it aswell as Tricking videos. Making short films etc. Is it still a good camera for this purpose? Could I get a similar camera (Similar in price range) that is better for such purposes, or will it do just great for it aswell.

It does an excellent job at "short films".
K-slash kinda made one at christmas he never released haha.

Cool! I can't believe how much it has gone down in price because of the CanonHV40 haha, it's awesome.
