Not like anybody probably cares, but I hurt my foot by dropping a 45 lb. weight on my left big toe (yeah real smooth >_>). Well, it's mostly purple with some red on the nail still. Any ideas on how long it should take for it to heal?

I was hoping to join my friend tomorrow in his first day of TKD just to get him used to everything and show him some more tricks to learn, but it doesn't look like I'll be able to walk there much less trick. I also have to do a 32 minute run for my weight training class tomorrow. >.< My teacher won't let me out of it unless I have a doctor's note. Any suggestions there?

you could try to splint it too your other toe in hopes that you can use it with at least mild pressure to get past the run tomorrow (NON PROFESSIONAL ADVICE), other than that it sounds like a pain in the ass but not something life changing, just RICE.

How about you just show your teacher your toe?

^^My teacher was there when I dropped it and had smiled. >_> Well, he yelled at me to stay put when I came today, so at least I know he's got emotions. Now once again, any clue when the bruises should start to subside? (ideally enough to trick)

No one, not even a doctor, will be able to answer that. Just wake up one day and realize it's healed. If the toe is broken it will be a good while.

Well, I got it checked out today and the x-rays found no broken/fractured bones. The person said the muscle was torn, but I think that was pretty obvious. Looks like I'll be playing the waiting game here on out. (yes, I know I screwed up the title >_>)
