Props on the attempts,
from what i can see ur looking over at ur side which is screwing u up. Concentrate on looking at something infront of u before u jump and if ur gonna look anywhere...force urself to look back not to the side.
Jump up Harder and tuck as hard as u can, ur barely tucking atm

You seem to be going a bit too much backwards and not enough up.
Jump up
First one wasnt bad at all, drill em and youll have em real soon.
Youre still not using your arms at all in your gainer attempts but you had lots more height in this one than in the your other vid.
Youre definitively improving tho:good:
yeah remember to jump up and tuck into a ball otherwise nice attempts
and was it just me who thought the guy recording sounded like chris from family guy?

So backflips DO NOT travel backwards, at all. Jump STRAIT UP, reach your max height and tuck (do not throw your head back either)

yea, i know not to travel back now, and am jumping alot higher and straight up.
i still havent landed perfectly yet but am practicing every day.
we made a sampler yesterday, but we had to use a phone and we ended not being able to post it because it was to big for the phone to send.
but, on the video i had a really good one, it was the highest one i did, i tucked, and i went straight up, i landed it and then my hands ended up coming down.
for chainlink my bad for being a dick on youtube lol
and for the people talking about the cameraman, he does sound like chris there. we didnt even notice until u said that and we listened to it. we were cracking up for probably 10 minutes lol.

Good work man! better than most first attempts ^.^
People have already mentioned about the whole head to the side thing, I wouldn't worry toooo much since that will fix itself as you become more confident with them, the head to the side thing is just people being scared that they'll bail. But if you can forcefully fix it, do so anyway =]
The main thing that helped me when I was learning backtucks was the 'stall like a bitch talking to her pimp' advise, I remember reading it here in someones signature and it always got in my head haha.
The 'stalling' will help you to jump straight up, or relatively straight up, because to be honest you can land backflips from any kind of position (i.e being crouched or of one knee) so long as you jump a bit, but if you don't jump then no matter what you'll never land. Jumping properly is key for starting the rotational momentum, I mean tons of people can backflip without tucking at all so tucking definitely isn't ESSENTIAL, but jumping is :]
Tucking wise, do whats comfortable, you don't need to be in a tiny little ball for a standing backtuck but you should minimally be grabbing your knees to pull them in a bit. Not tucking at all when you're first learning is just a silly idea =p
It's ok to lean back too, just don't lean back off your take off like you're currently doing, wait until you're in the air to put your head back.
<3 much love bredda
