Hello dear fellow tricksters!
I'm new to this forum, and QUITE new to tricking as well.
I've started 5 days ago, and I can now do a 360 kick. It's not very clean yet but it does look pretty decent already, even though I say it myself.
Anyway, some stuff about me:
My name is Bryan, I'm 14, (25 April), and I live in The Netherlands. I've liked tricking for some time already but I've decided to take it up as well. And, I'm also into bodybuilding, for 1.5 years already. This will definitely help me in tricking I guess, since some extra power and muscle won't be a problem as a trickster as far as I know.
So here's my question:
I'd like to learn more tricks of course. At this moment I'm learning the Tornado kick, and I'm improving my 360 kick. Well my question is: In what kind of 'order' do I have to start with tricks? Like, 360 kick > tornado kick > 540 kick > side flip > front flip, etc.?
Thanks an awful lot in advance, and I'm really sorry if this is placed wrong, I'm just new :)

There is no set order. Just generally make sure you have basics before you try something more advanced.
Tornado kick before 540 kick for instance, is a progressional branch... but 540 kick in no way leads to a sideflip. They are completely unrelated skills. If you wanna learn a sideflip, I would suggest just throwing one.
Other tricks you might want to try: feilong, btwist, double leg, backflip, parafuso, aerial, raiz, gainer

Ah thank you! I've been trying front flips, but after a few days I wondered why I didn't just start with the 'easiest' trick a.k.a. the 360.
front flips and backflips are good things to learn first cos that greatly helps with spacial awareness :good:

Thank you for the tip. I will first learn the 360 properly, in combination with the tornado kick. Then I'll go back to flipping since by then I'll probably have enough awareness for flips. Otherwise I'll start off with the Doube Leg or maybe even the Side Flip :)

learn to cartwheel and perfect it, then aerial yesss! also, if you want to kick, learn all the foundational basic kicks first, like outside crescent, inside crescent, round kick and hook kick, they'd help with the tornadoing and 360ing

Learn hyper 360 crescents and fei-longs before doublelegs. They are by far the most helpful/necessary pre-requisites. A doubleleg is just a hyper 360 crescent without separating your legs on the takeoff.
Tornados > 540's > Cheat720/540 Crescent
360 Crescent > Fei-Long > Doubleleg
Butterfly Kick > Butterfly Twist
Lunging Cartwheel > Aerial
Backflip > Flashkick
That's a basic outline for beginners. Study the stuff on the main site and there are some user tutorials in the guides and write ups section. I'll put a more complex chart in another post.

Tornados > 540's > Cheat720/540 Crescent > Cheat 900 and Jackknife
........................> 540 Gyro and Parafuso
360 Crescent > Fei-Long > Doubleleg
..................................>360 Gyro and pop 720
Butterfly Kick > Butterfly Twist > Butterfly Twist Round > Hypertwist and shuriken twist
Moonkick > Gainerflash > Corkscrew
Lunging Cartwheel > Aerial > Axe2Aerial and Aerial Switch > Reverse Aerial
Backflip > Flashkick and X-out > Flash out
I was gonna make a list just like the one above.. but you beat me over the fence :(
Right I'm gonna help you with another thing then.
Do front kicks. Sidekicks. Back kicks. Round kicks. Hook kicks. crescent kicks.
Do stretch.
A better kick while standing on the ground = a better kick while spinning in the air. Fact.
Read the flexibility guide on the main site (www.trickstutorials.com) and gain some basic flexibility. You don't NEED the splits, but working towards them gives you a long time goal (depending on how often you stretch.. I stretch irregularly and have been close to splits for a year now, but never quite there.
Enjoy your time tricking and may it be the best time of your life as it has for me :D
have fun! that's the best thing to do. :D

does this look like a 'proper' split kick? =D
personally that looks like a straddle jump to me, there is no chambering so i would class thatas a straddle.

Split kicks are chambered and have two side kicks. Def a straddle jump.

Got here just in time. While you're learning your tricks you'll want to do a lot of conditioning. Take some time out during your training to stretch and strenghten some of your joints. Especially your ankles> Ankle injuries SUCK. They hurt and keep you from tricking for extended periods of time, especialy if you try tricking on them. But make sure you're concerned with other parts besides ankles a well. Good luck!! There are some good conditioning tuorials on youtube also, so make sure to take a look.
