Dirty White Hat

I noticed that a lot of top trickers tend to have one leg that is predominately stronger than the other leg. I figured this is due to J-steps and swing throughs.
My question is this:
Do you think it would benefit in any way to work out the quads on one leg more than the other? Thus making your take off leg strong and your s/t leg thinner.
Why or why not?
