The common sense award goes to Master J.

Oh shit so...to get good at something, you need to do it more than one time?

HOLY FUCKING SHIT, NO WAY, THIS MUST BE A CONSPIRACY FULL OF LIES AND DECEIT.

NEVER BEFORE HAVE MY EYES BEEN OPENED SO WIDE IN MY ENTIRE LIFE ON THIS PLANET.

I mean, yeah its retarded, (The way it happened toward me) but the point was to explain a time when someone just rapidly progressed out of nowhere. I guess, its meaningless now though.

I love you too! :good:

It's a basic fact of life, that to get good at something you have to repeatedly do it, just life to memorise something, you have to read it and write it a certaina mount of times, etc...

If you want to become good at running, you run a lot.

If you want to be good at keepy ups with a football, you do them loads.

If you want to be good at shooting a basketball into a hoop, you practice it lots.

If you want to have a great 540 kick, you drill it lots.

it's pretty obvious that if you only do a trick one time, you're going to struggle to do it again, and it's going to suck balls.

Everyone knows that the first time you land a trick, it's going to suck in comparrison to you doing it 2 years later after practicing it over and over again.

How could you have the midn set of, oh shit I landed a trick, I never need to do this trick agian unless I want to combo it. That basically means that you have pahtetic standards, which I know you don't personally, because of the amount of time you've spent on your aerial variations for example. You didn't get your aerials that good by only doing them one time? So why would you treat any other trick differently?

Pew pew pew.

haha yeah that is so true. I think I have such crazy aerial variations by request. At one point, I was only able to do aerials so I did them for others and I just spammed them. Then quality kicked in (over quantity) and I started getting better at them. Once I got more tricks, I wanted to try a new style (of which I can't say yet) of witch I can truly be happy.

But the difference is that other tricks were never spammed because I had more of them. (I hope that makes sense). Like c7twist and snapu never were spammed yet because I had other tricks that other people liked. My friend, WilliamT (not williamT bougs) always asks me to do a backflip, so now I have them like nothing. (when I was struglling with them a few months back) I never thought to try a trick over mainly because I was afraid....... I was afraid that I would lose it.

When I first landed my aerial, me and glenn were SCREAMING! Afterwards he said, "DUDE, YOU HAVE TO TRY THAT AGAIN!" I said, "nah....." I didn't try any tricks for like 4 days.

So point being I am afraid of trying a trick I landed because of intense thoughts. (or me being a fail.)

Either way, I a trying to break through that and because I have, I feel better and have better results.

Edit: snapu, has been landed by under rotation and its not all that done well but I am kinda afraid to try it again. I am going to try again soon.

Yay 1337 post for you. ^^

I seem to be able to get tricks to become good and natural from practicing and trying over and over, even if my form is initially terrible.

Aside from butterfly twist, this has worked nicely. I guess my problem here is the same as your old one for the aerial. Every time I get a good btwist going I decide not to do it the next day because I didn't feel as confident. Eventually I would lose it and the I'd start over again. -.- Everyone nags me to do btwists and I often shrug them off too. I guess what your advice would be to go out and crash a few tomorrow. :)
