I've been trying a combo with a cradle in it, but I can't seem to get the cradle down right, and I haven't been able to find any tips on it. Can anyone give me some advice for this move? Or direct me to this well hidden guide

I can do it somewhat good on a mattress, but I'm pretty sure im doing somthing wrong, and I doubt I could do it on a semi hard surface.

You start out like a backhandspring, collapse your arms, and kip up. I think.

It's like a backwards suicide, but you kip up after.

I learned this by doing a bridge, then jumping back into the kip up position from there.

It's a suicide kip up. Cradle is a silly name. I think you'd need to be able to do two things very well to get this on the ground: 1) a jumpback - jump back onto your hands into a worm or flop onto a mat, 2) kip up from a handstand.
Edit: Good call Tartan, but you'd still need a good, controlled jumpback. You might also try it from a macaco (aka monkey flip) setup.

Towlie should watch Joe Eigo's cradle, his technique is perfect.

HAH!....I remember when I tryed a suicide kip on the grass for the first time, whithout ever trying it before. I bashed the back of my head into the ground with great force and lied on the exactly same spot for a couple of min. waiting for the pain to go away.

what is this jumpback u speak of? I know what a mocaoco is, but how would I get into kip position and still face the way I was originally?

By not finishing it fool. Try starting a macaco then collapsing into a forward roll. Then try piking and going into a kip up.

so crazy it might work. But I tried to do a forward roll into a kip up, but I found I had too much momentum to stop and kip. Any advice?

It's Gafgarion, and I also love that game. Does anyone know of any other games in this genre?
Also here's my cradle and closest thing to a bhs.

FFT Is the SHIT, I literally played that game for hundreds of hours efore I got more active and started playing paintball and tricking. Now I play it in my free time, I have the original for the PS1 as well as the new GBA version. Gafgarion sounds familiar...O_O Who exactly...wait, was that the mercenary guy?
Anyway, about your video, that looks like more of a macaco than a BHS to me. But the Suicide Kip looks pretty good I think. I can't do kips with my hands o_O I had to go straight to No Handed, and I got that after 10 minutes after practicing with hands for two weeks...

Anyway, about your video, that looks like more of a macaco than a BHS to me. No, it looks like he's falling on his head. Work on your jump backs and back hand springs. You don't want that much pressure on your neck on the ground.

I might do a cradle tutorial, if the guy still needs it. Although User Name's are better. Much better.

I was assuming his head didn't touch the ground because he was on a mattress, and mattresses tend to sink down to give you a litte extra room. But you're right, if he tried that on "real" ground he might get hurt...

I like how you two talk like i'm not even in the room, and say he and not you.
Yeah I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to get that on hard ground, mainly cuz I get afraid, and lower my body as low as I can before actually jumping back.
It actually looks like a brand new trick that I have never seen before.
WHAT IS A JUMPBACK, AND HOW TO I DRILL IT!!|
Also how is my cradle? ready for harder ground?
I have started trying to do cradles like last week, and I think that I have been doing pretty well with them. I wish that I had a video camera to show you guys, but the main thing with this trick seems to be the jumping back onto hands part. If you don't land on your hands first, then you should practice a lot more. The hands cushion the landing. Hope this helps.
