Oxford Gathering Update.

ok, im going to the gym tmrw, and im going to submit names for the gathering.

I assume you're all insured :paranoid: so yeah, you're all insured.

the names i am going to submit are as follows:

I am trying to get it so the session costs £4, and we're being 'coached' by the head coach who can double back etc, shes pretty cool apparently.

Please understand guys i HAVE to reassure the gym owner we're all nice... responsible.... well behaved.... bwahahaha i cant even kid myself. Dont worry though, ill do my best.

it its gonna be silly expensive or silly time (9-10AM) session then we'll still have one session we can go to.

this is still going to the plan where everyone arrives on the monday and stays until wednesday.

by the way, Dave wants to have a gathering the week after aswell, so if you come to the oxford gathering, please support the coventry gathering too!

yeah - i can be there as it falls during my month off from uni and i can drive to Oxford in just under an hour. as long as the club are cool with it i can be there 'as a coach', which should mean the gym are insured for an extra 8 people. Andy is going to speak to them and find out, although as it is all done through British Gymnastics (of which i am a full member, qualified club coach & a head coach at my gym) i can't see there being a problem.

looking forward to meeting some new people and trying out some new tricks - had the best training session of about the last six months last night, and rediscovered my passion somewhat :)

ok well im having 3 ppl sleeping at mine; one in my bed, two in my kitchen.

Yes, the person in my bed will be lynall.... no wait! it'd better be my gf... (janiney101) and SIRjoe and Dave are sleeping in the kitchen.

If you want to sleep on the floor in my kitchen thats fine, but only 2 more ppl max, there simply isnt room otherwise.

I will investigate the local B+B's for the rest of you, i think dan said he was gonna sleep in his car, so thats cool. I dont think it'll be too expensive though guys, there are millions of B+Bs around, its like every other house lol.

also oxford is piss easy to get around, there are more busses than people, and you can go about 50miles or something stupid for 60p.

just a reminder of costs:

train ticket to the gym is about £5,
Taxi to the gym (from train station) is £1.60
gym is £4.

i spoke to the gym owner (ruth) last night, and i said we wanted to have the session on the 11th of april, preferrably in the evening. Unfortunately someone representing the gym HAS to be there, even if we do have anony present as our fully qualified coach, which is fair enough. Her daughter, the head coach, is there 9-5 anyway with other things, so i have asked that we have a 5-7 slot, for AROUND 15 people. I think i could get away with 18, no more though, otherwise its just taking the piss.

Apart from that, ruth said its all looking good, and she'll have a word with mel (her daughter) or one of the other coaches to see if they can be there at that time.

so there we go, everything is in motion!
