a better thread would be to question how to maintain or reduce your body fat % without eating inadequetly to the point of hunger.

^^ If I had written it like that, would you respect the thread?

Just don't eat excess fat, and make sure you get a good amount of exercise (all I do it trick).
JerzeyGurl94, you are the cool in coolant, and I really mean that.

Fats are essential, if you're going to cut any single macronutrient, then make it carbs, but you should still get fiber.
Eating fat doesn't make you fat, overeating/underusing calories will.

He did say EXCESS fat Nighthunter. But we get the point anyway. =P
Oh, and you can't generalise anything. "Oh, yeah, fat is important" is false in that saturated fat can go fuck itself. But at the same time "fat is the worst" is also wrong because of all those fatty acids and crap. As for carbs, I really don't think you'd want to get rid of them. >_>
I have a 6-pack and I just ate steak and chocolate mousse for dinner.

It's easier to chuck carbs than fat. I agree you need some carbs, especially fiber, but fats are generally more important. Since we're on a site that promotes healthy lifestyles(kind of) I generally assume he means healthy fats anyway.
And the tone of the post I responded to was that fat is what makes you fat, however if you separate carbs and fats from eachother you're much less likely to store the fats in the first place.

Being that your body can produce carbohydrates on it's own, it's assured that cutting out carbs would easier. However, you're body can't produce it's own fat, which is why eating fat is essential.

Yea, working out abs a shitload of times to get a 6 pack is very over rated. I had a six pack for many years. I even had one before i started to work out and strength train. The secret? My bodyfat levels are very low. When i flex, my hands, triceps and biceps are very defined. My abs are the same way. Just keep a nice diet and avoid food like pizza, and you could slim down the fat levels and get defined hard abs.
When you see the infomercials, they tell you to buy a shitty 6 second ab machine, but every single one of those machine comes with a DIET book. The machine does shit, the diet is what helps most people.
good luck bud.
