I started march 2003. I landed my first real trick that next october. a 540 and a frontflip. I didn't get a backflip until june 2004, and I didn't land an aerial until april 2005. I'm still at it, and now i can nearly cork (though I still can't b-twist, haha)

Keep at it, some are slower than others.

Your progress also depends on how much you want to trick, if your are (like you say) not dedicated to tricking, you won't get many moves will you? It's like that with everything, to be really good at something you need to have a passion for it.

I've been tricking about a year and the only real tricks I can do (out of the 6 basics) are sideways aerials, and (/hyper) 360 crescents. Oh, and I landed two 540s by accident, one time, about half a year ago.

get more dedicated, and drill it. all it is is practice.

if its normal of it its lame, all depends on a simple question, how serious have you been about it?
sure some people learn faster then others, but.. most of the ones that learn fast practice ALOT aswell..
if by some miracle you just learn a trick first try every time and trick once a week for kicks then you should be torched and burned cous its unfair as fucking hell;P

back to the point.. focus when you trick, and try to be serious about it.. i guess thats all the "tips" i have

The time you spend practicing is what makes you good, not how long you've been into it. I found out about tricking about a year ago, practiced like once a week for three months and got nowhere and then stopped for about another three months. I only started training more devotedly about 6 months ago and went from being the crappiest trickster ever to decent amongst my friends (however we all suck ) So really, your skill depends on how much you practice and train, not how many years or months you've known about it.

I started last year in 2007, I can cartwheel hypertwist, roundoff doublefull, Cork, Btwist_ St_ gainer. It def. doesn't matter how long you've been tricking at all.

The Ones who are veterans in tricking that have been doing this 7-10 years had it hard. The visions that they saw for this sport revolutionized who we are now! Thanks to them the varity of tricks are many. Now you can go to YouTube, or buy the LoopKicks DVD, or even check tutorials on here and they'll point it out step by step for you.

But mostly GET YOUR BASICS! (Class A Tricks) Perfect them.
What I want to recommend to you Subtle Sorrow, is trick any time that you have free time, don't just limit yourself to the gym. find someone whose on the same level of tricking as you are, and constantly battle them! when you battle your drive to hit/land the moves become stronger, and lastly if theres someone on your team (if your on one) Watch how they throw their moves/tricks and take their advice on how to make your tricks better.
