I honestly recommend learning the slant gainer/moon kick first. Trust me, throwing that leg up towards the shoulder not only intiates the spin, but it helps you set up horizontal. From there, kick up towards your shoulder, and torque.
In reality, this move isn't too complicated. It's all about just going for it, and testing every little factor. You CANNOT be afraid to bail miserably and get a little roughed up when learning this move, it comes with the territory. Just remember to kick towards the shoulder, and spot your landing.

Yeah I can be a bit sarcastic julian-san. Don't mind my random shit, I actually do post helpful things haha. I'll probably learn some crap from this thread too like you. Well not really. I know what to do I just haven't practiced it worth a shit haha!
Less than Dan is spot on, also another major thing when corking is to consciously think "right, I have to STALL before I rip my arms through", and pull your arms around like a motherfucka into your body. Use the momentum of the kicking leg to initiate the spin a little too.

I learned cork before fohla seca (slant gainer)..... so now sometimes when I wanna throw a fohla seca, I twist and go, "WTF!?"
Use the turn around takeoff to start out with. It gives you a better momentum flow to learn from. Make sure your leg reaches up pretty high before you start twisting too, otherwise you'll get ZERO float.

yah i i kinda noticed  meh, in a way we are all stupidly sarcastic, so it don't really matter to me
ok, so when i'm going for a cork, i should use my momentum leg to swing up to my shoulder, stall for that split second, and the torque and bring my arms as close to my body as possible and then spot my landing as best i can... i think i got everything :eh: i'll try tommorow, i just don't know if i'll have the balls, since i can't go to my club tommorow and i'll have to try this on a very thin layer of grass, o well, no falls no balls
Edit: sorry if i sound like a noob, but what is a slant gainer/moon kick???

Well do you know what a gainer is? Backflip off one foot, various takeoffs for that but the one in particular is where you kinda jump going forward off one leg. If you tuck in like a backflip, it's a regular gainer. If you spread your legs like a flashkick, it's a gainer flash. Slant gainer is just a gainer flash at an angle. You're not flipping over STRAIGHT backwards. More like towards one of your shoulders. If you kick with your right leg, it'd aim towards your left shoulder and vice versa.

if i remeber proarly if you use the pivot style to set this move up it becomes a revers gainer full, not a corkscrew

No, the difference between gainerfulls and corkscrews is where the axis is when you twist. Horizontal for corks, more vertical for gainerfulls. Takeoff is irrelevant.
You still needs a video tutorial for this move ?
If so let me know and ill try help the best i can.

I think what he means is that it is more likely you'll do a gainer full from a pivot takeoff, and cork from a j-step takeoff.

Dont listen to Matt R, he can't corkscrew.
slant gainer, cheat gainer, fake gainer, sling shot, they are all the same move.
I showed the importance of this move if my tut anyways i think.

haha you dont nneed a tutorial dude, thats how to do a cork, because that setup makes it harder, once you learn it its really easy to do from any other setup etc.
and for swing thros, once you get rid of fear and can land the move resonably decently(doesnt even need to be that great) just chuck it and more likely than not it wiill work
www.divx.com
You can download the codec from here, basically it allows you to decode the video so you can watch it.
Once you install it just run the normal windows media player and it should play.
vlc is a video player and all you have to do is install it
all you do is install it and it has inbuilt codec, this will most likly be able to play the movie aswell

good luck

You should release a wmv or mp4 version as some people aren't going to know how to install codecs, about to watch the vid now.
