i need help on sideflips and backflips.

my side flip is fine but i want to no how i can lean back more so my head/shoulder are at the same level as my butt.

for the backflip i jump up lean back , i think i look back which i no is bad i can't tell if i am my visionb blurrs, rotate about 95 degrees and crash head first into the ground.

i just read something saying that i should throw my arms back to get the backwards lean, but i no i can't get enough spin so what can i do to get the last 265 degrees of the flip

Well for one, you really shouldn't be looking back on a good back flip.
Two, if you are trying to keep your body alligned on a side flip, adjust where your feet are placed on takeoff. If you are leaning back, then bring your feet more towards your body, if you are too foreward, bring them out a little more. So in your case you want your feet a little bit further (only a few inches really) in front of the direction you are facing and remember to stall and jump up.

A video of you doing these tricks would be really beneficial.

Sideflip, you want to block, so you want to put your feet out in front of you a little bit, in the case of the sideflip, you want your feet extended out towards the direction of the flip, so when you turn to the side put your legs out more.

Instead of being | when you jump to do a sideflip, try to be like / if that makes any sense.

Backflip, you just have to throw your arms back harder, and bring your knees up harder for a faster rotation.

Disclaimer: I have no experience with backflips.

It sounds like you're bailing your backflip. Get a spotter. Rip those knees up and tuck.

Just tuck hard for rotation. Use your arms to pull the tuck tight. Grab behind your knees if you have, to just pull the tuck hard. If you want to stop throwing your head back, just get a piece of foam/wad of paper/ lump of shit and put it under your chin. Then try to backflip. Just focus on keeping it under your chin.

Has there ever been a case where the problem is that the person simply can't tuck hard enough? If that's the case, what muscles need to be worked on?

I kinda couldn't tuck hard enough, I was tucking as hard as I could but was still pretty open. The next day my abs hurt pretty bad. I waited a few days for them to heal a bit and tried again - my tucks were way tighter and I landed the backflip the next day. So I think you need to work on abdominal strength for a faster/tighter tuck - specifically leg lifts.

Also, the fear of a backflip can cause you to open up, hence stopping your rotation and you land on your head. Force yourself to stay tucked - jump up and grab those legs!

If someone can't tuck hard enough, they need to work their abs more. Hanging leg raises would be good. I think hip flexors come into play in tucking, I'm not positive though.
