Those are some 360 crescents from early on this year, and although the first one looks nice (they usually look like that nowadays), in slow-mo the takeoff looks... naff : /
Should I try some new approach to the takeoff in order to get it properly "popped" or just leave them as they are?

Look alright to me. Leave it.

sorry to say this, but theyr not 360s. you need to take off both feet, so yeah, that'd make it a "pop", not to be confused with a "punch" take off.

*shakes head* dont listen to jimmy, he sucks haha

I dont really like the form that much. Try aiming at a target, right now it just looks like you are throwing out your leg without any particulat intent. It dosnt quite turn enough to be a proper 360 crescent. You also need to turn your head some more and actually spot your target. It looks like you are looking at the ground or something. Hopefully this will help.

that first one definately wasnt a 360.

like dave said, do them off both feet.

have a look at my tutorial, its in the guides and walkthroughs section in the all-star thread

I thought they at least qualified as something :eh:

don't get discouraged, learn from the advice that is given.

also, who cares if it qualifies but still looks like crap? you want it to be good looking, not barely qualified :)

you don't need to do a punch takeoff, imo a normal jump takeoff is and looks lotsa better... but that's up to you tho.

also, use your hands more, they're kinda just hanging around there, throw them up, and keep them close to your body, it helps with the speed...

and the kick... it looks forced and a bit low... but actually, imo a low kick is lotsa harder... when you do a smoot, high kick, reaching as high as you can, after reaching the highest point the leg comes down relaxed, without forcing, and makes the whole move look a lot better..

you're also leaning a bit forward, keep your back straight. the advantage of a kick is it's reach, so do you really want to sacrifice your distance with leaning towards the target with your head? also, leaning forward makes the kick lower.

hope that helped

yeah, tricking is for performance, so you want it to be more then decent.
can you do a spining kick? that might help out a lot.

Here's mine.

Yeah, don't try to take off of one foot. It makes the kick harder and weaker. Just pop off of two feet, torque your shoulders, and throw the cresecent/hook. Actually, don't try to hook, it looks bad with this move, and it's SO much harder.

Edit: Doooooooood, mine are so fucking cheated :-D
