View Full Version : Restarting on tricking.

Hello,

I am restarting on tricking again, each summer I try but now I'm willing to go for some nicer moves.

I can:

360 crescent (Nope, no 540)
Kickup
Butterfly Kick (fugly)
Handplant (Both 2 as 1 hand, trying to find balance again)
Cartwheel (Variations: One handed)

I am asking for suggestions on which tricks to attempt first. I've been focussing on my:

Butterfly Kick, I need to stretch my legs a bit more.. Keep failing at that. 540, have trouble making the rotation (I can simply turn 540 degrees), but I fail at bringing in my other leg so the kicking leg can kick over it.
Butterfly Twist. I keep failing the twist in the jump, I hardly turn 360 degrees and land. So I need to spin faster?

My question in general: What should you advice to me, I've got some bad movies made using my telephone to give you an indication on these techniques, but my main question is what should I attempt next or what should I finish first?

Thanks in advance,
~ Bjornsan.

If you've got a one-handed cartwheel, why not try an aerial?

b-twist is what i had problem with
make sure you look over your shoulder as much as possible and dont look forward until you need to stop rotation

hmm, i'm just going to give you a suggestion but i would personally start with the 5 basics :D 1)540 2)b-twist 3)double leg 4)aerial 5)backtuck

i think that the best basic trick to start with is a backflip try it first with a spoter
then learn to do a tornado kick do it 100% and then the 540 will come much easier you will see
later on try doing the aerial
then a btwist work on your dip and jumping up and then spin
when you learn these try the double leg there are some methods you can try
just go to the main page and watch and read juji's tutorial
later on you can try gainer veriations some kick with spins aerial veriations and etc...
and of course build your body your jumps your flexabilty and strength your spins
and then the your tricks will be much more smoother and come much easier

i agree the easiest is backflip and helps with fear once you get it. but if you have a problem with fear, then go for the aerial or 540.

also, keep drilling that btwist.

Thanks for your replies :).

I don't know why I'm not doing the Aerial, suggested to learn on grass or mat?
