View Full Version : Backhand spring to backflip
Yes, I know I'm a huge loser for not being to get a proper backflip attempt. They always wind up as backhand springs.
So could someone give advice on how they changed their handspring into a flip?

learning a bhs before a backflip makes a backflip WAY harder to learn. they are two totally different tricks but you can, with much work and more effort, land a backflip using bhs-like technique, but if you go to ro backtuck or layout you end up doing whippy low-ass flips. Read the tutorials and follow the very closely and don't consider anything to do with a bhs when you are doing a back tuck, everything is different

Put some shoes on, go out into your back yard with a bucket full of thumb-tacks and sprinkle them all behind where you are taking off from. That will make you think twice about putting those hands down. :dead:

I got footage of me changing form a crap back handspring to a fairly nice back tuck out (of a round off). It may be of some use to you , so i uploaded it.
