So I was trying this move a bit over the weekend, but wasn't quite getting solid results. My double-leg is fine. I land quite upright and get plenty of air for the rotation. I do them the way that juji does, infact I just improved alot when I noticed how important the direction of your head is throughout the move.

Back to the point: at which part of the trick do you begin to execute the twist. I tryed experimenting abit but felt odd. Do you do it when your legs have gone about two thirds over or at the top or what? Also, do you emphasize the tucking of your legs in at all?

Try watching Manny Brown's double leg twist in frame-by-frame, his timing is excellent. He just flows from the double leg formation to the laid out position, perfect.

Links? All I got is Manny's Sampler2 from bilang's current site, and I didn't find one in there.. Maybe I didn't look hard enough?

Well, if you Dleg is really good then you know there is a release point. The point in the trick where the torque you have on your legs is released and you being the decending process. This point is when your legs reach their maximum ....uh... verticality? When your legs get straight up and down just twist okay. And think about getting your right side to the ground.... like an over rotated btwist landing sort of.....

i hate this trick

Its hard to get the timing for the twist indeed. Just dont twist too early, you basically have to twist on the way down.

do it like a gyro--after the move is complete, when your body is oriented how it would be landing a normal dleg, as straight up and down as you can be.

twisting while piked is hard.

I try to twist about just after half way through, You must empasise the stall before the twist, Or goodbye goes your hight. I found that I got more hight when I tried to add a X-out at the begining before the twist as you REALLY stall then.

Stall, stall, stall. I have only seen a few people do a real doubleleg twist, I hate those stupid running cheat 720 twist / fulltwist things. You have to do a doubleleg and THEN twist on the way down. Just make sure you stay tight on the twist...trust me. :dead:

I'll keep that in mind next time I give them a shot. Thanks.

look at manny brown's, jon p's and mogwai's. all of them have very good forms in their dleg gyros. try to delay the twist as long as you possibly can, and try to keep your upperbody UPRIGHT ALTHROUGH THE MOVE! this will help you get height, it looks awesome, and you will most certainly not land on your head!

hm im not sure but wouldnt a 360 gyro be a good prerequisite for this move?
