When you do the butterfly setup make sure you dip and then at the end of the dip reach behind you and take of like you would as a butterfly and at the peak of your butterfly make the twist (that way you get horizontal really well).
Also don't let your arms just dangle all over the place, they should be solid and help with the dip.
When you're in the air I prefer (I don't know what other people do) but to put my arms and hands together near my chest as in my avatar.

i would say a couple of things, like for one, don't take so many steps into the thing, for the b-twists it is basicly only 2 steps and then the u-shaped dip, the kick upwards, twisting and making yourself as tight as possible and then stickin that landing, and also don't forget to stall the twist for that brief second ight, hope it helps peace

How do I get that twist in mid-air that seems to be whats killing me as far as this trick goes. and also how do I stall that in mid air for that split second. thanks ttyl

can you do a good bkick? it'll help alot... if you can do one really well, all it is then is twist at the PEAK of the jump.. if u twist the moment you get off the ground.. ur going to land short and crash into the ground

My friend does it EXACTLY the same as you and lands it, cept his are slightly lower. If you want a good one, do what these guys say ^^^ if you just wanna land it, jus spin faster :P

If you can do a b-kick while staying parallel to the ground, you can get the b-twist. It's all about how much you delay before you start twisting. I'm learning it myself, and, boy, with bad knees, this move HURTS. But it's fun to try XD Just remember, it's with a dip and a parallel-to-ground b-kick. Twist when you feel it's right.

The only way you can get the feeling right is to keep doing it. Do it the way your body would do it; Carpie Diem. ;)

I slowed it down a lot, and it looks like after you start to spin and you are halfway, you "lose confidence" or something and get ready to bail. Your hands fly out as if the ground was about to hit you in the face when you coudn't be farther from it. Try to get as horizontal as possible, you are more diagonal.

when you wanna try the btwist eventually, do the dip, but i would say emphasise this most, and then tear your arms around you, i think that for beginners learning this move the feeling of the twist is important so the torquing of the arms should be very strong and fast, it is important to put a lot of emphasis on the dip because you will not be stalling and so need to get a lot of your height out of the dip, then as you get more comfortable with the twisting motion you will find you can delay or stall the twist loads and gain lots of extra height

I'll never get a feeling for this move...
