http://beta.yousendit.com/transfer.php?action=download&ufid=E4BB54EA6943B8A6
My latest session.
It would've been longer, but the night before my aunt used my camera and I forgot to recharge the battery.
SO no Btwist guys.
The questions are in the vid.
Sorry, it's not funny this time. :(

You can't invert the "sideswipe" from that set-up. Well...you can, but it'll be hella weird.
First of all...your arms, they're not swinging in the right direction. If you're going to 'invert' something, your arms must swing in a circular motion similar to the direction you want to pitch and spin (down then upwards). Also they should swing fully extended and close to the body.
Second thing...you gotta lean over your right leg as if doing an aerial, and really kick that back leg (left leg) up HARD.
Third thing...you gotta 'arch' your back bro! It won't look clean unless you do, and really put emphasis on it to. Once you've done all this, then it's time to kick!
I see.
What setup do you suggest for the swipe?
Towards the end I tried it Marc C style.
Thank you very much.

I think you might need better 540s to be honest... you aren't high enough I don't think.

that was adorable :swashy:
and congrats on the brandy :good:
i agree with sesshou.
start with a wide arm swing but pull it in close to give you some torque. your shoulders are leading your hips in the twist so when the arms pull in is when your legs go out, a gradual phase shift that moves down the body. (its like when two groups of people sing row row row your boat and then the another group chimes in and then IT NEVER ENDS, its just one after the other :dead: ) try and use your shoulders as the driving force of power and direction and your arms are their slaves. that should help you place your torso where it needs to be.
and keep your spine aligned. like arch a little, bend down turn around and touch your toes, whatever, but don't let it shift so much to the side. i think that will correct itself for the most part when you lean back more and rotate faster.
improving the angle your shoulders are to the ground & keeping your core tight will lift your hips up and keep your spine straight. so yeah, don't sacrifice keeping tight for the sake of raising your hips. feel free to sacrifice keeping tight for jaronlove though.
oh and look back and to the left a bit, bend back so there is only a strain on the front right side of your neck. this will arch your back and pop out your chest and help you rotate. like sit up straight with your shoulders up (not too far back) and put your right hand on your breast plate and look back and to the left like i said up there. your left shoulder should move back and down and your right shoulder will move foward and start to come across, but keep your shoulders in line, pretend your collarbones and shoulders make a straight solid piece of iron, this will help you to turn your shoulders as 1 unit which gives you lots more power than if you let the left one roll back and the right one slump foward. you should be able to feel that your chest opened and up turned slightly to the left. and make sure that your spine is not moving out of place. it turns, but it doesn't bend anyway except fowards/backwards (with the respect to the individual vertebrae, not the direction you, your shoulders, your hips... are facing). this is how you are able to keep a tight fixed axis of rotation even though you are twisted all along it. this is another way of make the most out of your spin. if you were looking at your body from bird's eye and your spine was a point and your shoulders were two opposite points, they would be connected through a line and would spin around your spine, staying opposite each other, and trace the path of a circle. (hot diggity, i'm so in depth if you catch me after i take my meds)
weren't you the one doing btwist onto your bed? that would be good to use to practice getting the alignment and rotation down and would force you to bring your arms in and keep them straight.
Thanks! I dunno what's jaronlove. =O
I see. Thank you. I tried the advice today while I tricked today. It worked fine. Now all I gotta do is drlil until it's perfect.
