i am pretty easy going with the terminology of fulls, except when hyper fulls are called full twist swipes, other than that i try not to care as it will only result in terminology warfare

I'm not sure why you would want to avoid defining tricks. You wouldn't mind if I did an off-axis blank 360 and called it a b-twist then?

In my experience, theres been few people who have been able to do cartwheel or pop fulls (from anything, like a gainer or btwist) directly over the top. We as trickers seem to do mostly a horizontal spin. I know Im about to open a can of worms with those who are closed minded but its what Im good at so here goes---
I think this topic might be more along the lines of twisting axis. Whether its fully inverted or not. I myself have NEVER seen or done a mostly to completely inverted gainer full and hook kicked after or roundkick or swipe from it. I've always called these cork tricks. When I do cartwheel "full" variations, I try and think of them more as a popped cork trick. In my mind, "corking" is more of the way trickers explain horizontal twisting. Yes theres btwists but if you cant tell the difference between a btwisting trick and a cork trick your retarded or doing them wrong. So when I do a cartwheel "full" and do a hook kick with my left leg, I call it a cartwheel "pop boxcutter". So far, the noobs that are at the gym that i've been teaching, have made more sense out of it. As have the gymnastics kids who are asking Wtf Im doing and how I twist horizontally. Its the difference between gainer full and corkscrew in my opinion. If your into creativity and inovation, then you can obviously tell me that theres a difference between a take off and a trick. A s/t is a take off. A cork is a trick. So in my own views, a cork can be done from a s/t, pop, w/t, etc. Theres a distinct difference between a wrap through cork and a wrap through full. Thoughts?... Again, if you have flaming to do, this a very calm post. Im trying to have a conversation, so if you closed minded, like skillz said earlier-dont respond. |

For me if it is out of a round off it's a full...if it's cart full I know most the time it will end up being cut 180 short...but if it is flat in the air then I call it cheat full twist...and I call it full twist when it is upside down...360 rotation in a round off full and most the time 180 rotation in the cart full.
