Hmm the only reason I don't like people not kicking, is they could give the wrong message of tricking around. Like if someone comes up to him and said "what are you doing?" and replies saying "tricking" and he says "is'nt that just gymnastics?" and if he say's no he's got no way of backing it up.

I like tricking to be unique, not the same as everything else.

I kind of don't like the elitist action going on here. I don't like the way some people have such an objection to people doing things for fun. This guy isn't trying to be the world's best tricker or anything. As he said, he is doing it FOR FUN. Could some of you stop being so condescending. Honestly. It's not like one single person not doing kicks is going to ruin the face of tricking.

Look, it's not like he is only tumbling or anything. I don't see people "doing gymnastics" then going and doing a whole bunch of gainers, corks and btwists. Those are not by any means hallmark gymnastic moves, or even moves that come to mind at all when you think "gymnastics". If someone wants to question what he is doing, he can easily explain the differences between typical gymnastic tumbling moves and the moves he is doing. Gawd.

Tricking - kicking =/= gymnastics.

Can you imagine going to a gymnastics forum with that video of those moves and saying "hey guys this is my gymnastics, check it out"? No, not really.

I know everyone is very into the whole YOU GOTTA BE KICKING TO BE TRICKING thing, but since he said like three posts in that he is JUST DOING IT FOR FUN AND ISN'T REALLY CONCERNED, you'd think people would read that and go "oh, alright. This is what he likes to do. He isn't trying to reshape the face of tricking or anything. Okay well I will comment on what he IS doing then!" No need to angst.

Now shut up if you don't have anything nice to say, guys. :)

no i wasnt even saying him in particular.
i was just noting how often beginners think ABCD=tricking, which isnt true.

but in terms of people thinking they're 'tricking' when they are 'tumbling' i think they are just poorly educated.
