So whats the difference between learning a scoot gainer or any trick for that matter, with a spotter or into a foam pit or onto mats or padded surfaces? To me its all the same, you're still being cautious about trying it. I dunno personally I hate injuries, I'd much rather play it safe then land wrong and fuck up my ankle and be done for any time span. Regardless though, any other tips besides stop playing it safe lol?

Yeah, that doesn't really make sense that it would be opposite. Anyone start off doing flips or whatever into a pit of nails instead of foam?
Of course the sport is supposed to be Xtreme (starting with an X of course), but it isn't supposed to injure you. Just like sky diving or bungee jumping; there is an element of risk, sure, but there is something to save you in the end. I wish I could have a spotter, or foam pit thing, I'd go as safe as I could. |

I'm with wasser.
My scoot>gainer looks like a weird ass tornado kick. I don't go over, I go sideways. I guess that's just an unconscious fear thing. I get enough height though, I land with a straight leg. |
