Hello all. I'm new in here.. But whatever.
I have a problem: dynamic sidelifts doesn't stretch my adductors.. I'm doing them with front and back lifts but they seem to go much better than sidelifts... Any advices? |

Many, including me, seems to feel the same way. Guess that's just the way it is. Keep practise and you'll get gains... unless your tecnique is bad.

Either foot can point anywhere from to the side to forward. Best to try them all to hit all possible ranges of flex.

watch juji's vids. I find the best stretch at about 45 degrees pointed backwards. Also, your butt should feel like it's kind of sticking out when you do it - this can be solved if your torso (obliques and teh opposite back muscles are stretched - static/dynamic - also).
The side lift is the most complex of the dynamic movements. You really have to play around with it. Don't forget to lean back and keep your body turned to one side somewhat so you're not doing as much hamstring stretching. Also, start from the basic 2 feet planted together, turn, pivot supporting foot, position. It's the most basic, and really helps the motion. If you do it somewhere where you have some support to hold onto, it will also help. Basically try to kick your leg up into a side split position - think about how your torso is positioned during that stretch (butt sticking out, hips squared). |

I think I'm pretty good in English, but I can't get what 'squared hips' mean... Could someone explain that?

Try to hold on to something for support. Sling the leg out to the side varying the angle until it feels just right.
