Face it. The majority of us HATE the idea of waking up early in the morning during a great vacation like this, to "train", especially when all our previous hard efforts have failed to bring us any significant signs of progress. We do not dare putting a halt to the new videogames we've recieved over Christmas, or the many plans we make with friends and family to go out, rather than stay home and do some exercises. Hell, you're probably one of those people that think you can atleast workout your calves, yet you're so busy with other things you forget. You may be the kind of person that convinces yourself that the access you have to several tutorials with routines on this site would really make a difference. Yet you end up not even bothering to look at it once since you've read it.
So rather than giving you a tutorial that may displease your interest, I present you with a mini-procrastinator's version. Let's not think about conditioning as "training", more so, things to do while doing other things. The Warm Up: Lazy or not, I've always done the "easy" stretches. So whether you've just woken up, wanted to get out of laziness, or on a pee break from gaming, try these: - Hip exercise #1: Plant your feet at shoulder width, then slowly torquing your body left and right, for as long as you feel productive. - Hip exercise #2: Place feet together, hands at hips, rotate your hip clockwise, then counter clockwise. - Arm circles: Swinging your arms both ways to create big circles, then little circles. - Hip/Arm: With Hip exercise #1, when shifting from left to right, drop your arms midway (like you're throwing your arms down), then bring your arms up to your sides as you twist. Muscle Workout: So what? You just did some stretches, now you're probably going to spend the rest of the day eating, going out, or in front of your computer on Myspace. Here's somethings you can do: - Calf exercise #1: (Guys, taking a leak) You can always raise yourself as you're standing there (as the build up of lactic acid has always made me want to pee), then when you're walking around the house, you can walk on the balls of your feet. - Calf/Shin exercise: Where ever you're sitting or laying down, you can always stretch out your shins/ankles/calves. Do this with full extensions of your feet and rotating them. Raag Suggests: If you're not lazy to the point of not brushing your teeth, there's the good old stretch-your-leg-on-the-dryer-while-brushing-your-teeth thing that works nicely. I always end up reading insane amount of stuff in front of my computer, so one thing I like to do is try to do tuck planches on my chair and other things like that which can be done while staring at a computer screen. Just make sure you have a solid chair. Climb 3-4-5 stairs at a time instead of just one, try and get more velocity when climbing down to train your lower legs, etc. I lived on the fifth floor of a residence building this summer and running down/up those double stairways really helped a lot (although it did gather a few odd looks from strangers, but who cares?). *Note: you can also do inclined lunges on stairs to stretch. --------------------------------------------------------------- Kind of common sense, but people are always going to ask for things they can do to condition themselves. Although there are many tutorials and stuff out there, the lot of us won't bother to follow it if we're that lazy. If you're not lazy to the point of not brushing your teeth, there's the good old stretch-your-leg-on-the-dryer-while-brushing-your-teeth thing that works nicely.

On a note about stairs, you could even do stretches on those. Stop dead on a step and raise your leg a couple steps like an inclined lunge. I'll stick what you said on the original thread Raag.

I do 6 steps at a time on my house steps every time now.... its really helped doing that kinda stuff cos now its easy...one day ill be able to do 7s just about, and then later ill be able to do them easily
ive never done stretches on steps though.... |

This tutorial would be useful for people that would like to maximize training, too. Not just procrastinators.

Even The Procrastinators Need a Conditioning guide. i started To Write a Top 10 Thing To do When bored at Home For Conditioning But i never Got past 1. But Good Job Man |

You know, when I first wrote this and saw nobody replied for a while. I thought this was going down the drain. But yeah! If you guys have any more ideas, post them up so I can organize this better and it'll be a better guide to follow. Like with calf raises, tons of good times to do them are in the shower when you're just standing there lathering up and stuff.
That's definitely true. People who just want a constant workout can think about these things too. |

I always do my full morning Stretches in an incredible hot shower it makes me feel super loosened up. and when i play video games i work my ankles and calves and bounce around alot i find it helps
