Default Brewer's yeast tip

I've always found a good place for this super food in my diet. It's high protein, high fiber, and chocked full of a bunch of good stuff which makes it very nutrient dense. I have a good tolerance for bad tasting foods / supplements / meals; However, brewer's yeast always ranked near the top of my list of things I gag on.

Anyway, that was a problem I believe was related to the brand I was buying. I had always bought NOW Brand Brewer's yeast, it was debittered but it was awful. I finally decided to buy another brand because it was $1 cheaper! haha, but man I'm glad I did! I bought some of the Swanson Brand Brewer's yeast, it doesn't say debittered on the container so I'm curious as to whether that is the determining factor in taste difference. Nevertheless, it seems to provide the same nutritional content with a taste that's actually pretty good! It taste kind of nutty and maybe just a bit of a sweet after taste.

I recommend anyone who's already adding this stuff to their diet to try other brands; Especially if you're currently using NOW's Brewer's yeast product, switch!

I buy Gayelord Hauser. It advertises its "delicious nutty flavor" and it does taste like nut

I wasn't using Brewer's yeast until this thread. Now I will incorporate it into my diet - and the tip is good to know. Thanks for sharing yet again, Juji.

I can't find brewers yeast over here. Probably because it's in Norwegian, and I don't know what to look for, or where to look for it.

Look in the home brew section of your supermarket.

Sounds like a mission to find this brewer's yeast.. Mostly because we have no idea what the name is in Norwegian/Swedish <-- Fairly similar languages.
