i do 2-5 minuts in the morning. 5-10 minuts after school. 18 minuts in the evening(2 kinds of stretches). will it improve my flexibiility if i doing one set for drill. or shold i do more?.

You'll still improve, but much slower than if you were repeating the stretch. If you repeat, you'll probably feel more comfortable in each stretch as well.

At first, I was not flexible. I couldn't touch the ground with my hands without bending the legs, for example. A dwarf could have walked between my legs when trying to sidesplit.

Here is what I did. I concentrated on ONE thing at a time. I wanted to get the sidesplit first. I stretched when waking up and in the evening. I was doing something like 5 sets of 2 minutes. Yes, it's boring.

But ya know what motivated me to continue? The incredible improvements. I am not kidding. It took me like 3 months and there could be three days in a week where I was to lazy to stretch. Now, I can Sidesplit and I feel so sexy.

If you improve slowly, you'll want to stop.

FRONT SPLIT time for me!

Doing lots of different stretches doesn't reduce the results you see in one particular stretch, it just means your stretching takes longer.

True, but it'll be quicker in the long run, because if you get the splits in one direction, then stop stretching that direction and focus on a diff. direction, you'll begin to lose the original stretch... If you just have a regular 20-30 minute stretching routine it'll probably wind up quicker anyway.

I admit, the final result will be more balanced.

But You wouldn't stop doing that stretch when doing another.
When you get the split, just split once or twice a day so you don't lose it.

Anyways, we've said pretty much what had to be said.

I did both. Sitting AND Standing.

The way you do it will probably result in great improvements.

Try to do the STANDING position like twice.... 2 X 1.30 minutes.
This should be good enough.

The sitting position really helped me. You can watch the TV while stretching. that's good.

Personally I only do the sitting stretch, because I stretch at the end of a heavy workout and really can't be bothered standing. If you're going to do it sitting, make sure you lean forward into the stretch as well.
