idea for a tricks battle system battle system
firstly there could be a separate section of the forum where the battle threads are generated.
could you code the forum so that you could initiate battles? By this i mean. person A on the forum wants to battle person B, C and D so he clicks on the "start a battle" button in user CP this screen works like a private message, A types in that he wishes to challenge B C and D. He then states the rules of the battle, a deadline (if a video isn't posted by the deadline then the person who failed to post it forfeits) and then sends it on its way. B and D accept but C declines; because everyone has replied to the battle request a battle thread is automatically set up by the forum. Then via the battle tab in user CP A B and D can input a link to their battle video. The links on the battle thread don't become active until all people involved in the battle have inputted the link to their battle vid, though the thread does tell you when a person has uploaded the link. This way the battle stays fair because all the videos get released at the same time. Once all of the videos links have been submitted a poll option is activated and the forum pick the winner. After 3 days the poll is frozen and the winner is decided. what do you think? edit: I appear to have written battle system twice in the title  |

Battle sub-forums haven't really worked in the past, it would need this innovation to take it off of the ground.

I like the idea, it would be the coding which may cause problems. It would make it much fairer and people would use the function quite well I think. Juji..?

It might need to be limited to something like a battle a week per person or another limit within reason. This would prevent people from abusing it and loading somebody's inbox with dozens of requests to battle.
Otherwise, it seems like an awesome idea! |

Yeah rayzer's right, but it's still a brilliant idea, pretty much adds a whole new dimension to tricking!! I'd love to see this take off.
