I've tried to do an aerial a couple times but it seems that I just can't lift myself up high enough. Either that, or I think I have the timing wrong. When should I lift off and how hard should I jump?

Jump off HARD. As hard as you can, probably. As for when, preferably, your back leg should already be higher then parallel to the ground before you get lifted off the ground.
DISCLAIMER: First info from my own expirience practicing aerials, second from TKD_Andys tutorial, because I have yet to land or even film it. |
