I don't think ass flexion has anything at all to do with it mateus. Your FHS is crap because you're just delaying on your hands until you think your legs are close to the ground then pulling them off and leaning forward; garbage. Your back and leg driving up are both hunched; garbage. Think of it in terms of the handstand; you have to drive up your heel so much to get into a handstand, so to do a FHS you have to drive it up much harder, don't just let yourself fall over, create force by driving your heel upwards, and spring off your arms by reaching out with them and pushing through the shoulders. Keep your leg straight and try to drive it upwards as hard as you can as soon as it leaves the ground.
Also, you should spring when you're more upright. The way you're doing it now you're already falling before you're feet hit the ground. Spring earlier and arch your back. |

Woo! Finally I can do a trick better than someone! :-P (no offense)
Yeah, axe2fhs is cool - it's the poor man's axe2aerial, but it still beats a plain FHS. I can't seem to link more than 2 FHS together before I lose the momentum and end up doing standing ones. ![]() |

hey man... waterboy gave out some great tips a while ago..heres what i can remember
1. keep your back relativly tight throught the spring 2. your feet should be already over your head by the time your hands push off from the ground, so that your momentum continues and this makes the move a tooon easier. 3. look at your hands while they're on the ground for as long as possible (hels with back arching) and heres a little video thing to help if you want to see the correct form http://www.gymnasticsrevolution.com/...Handspring.htm dont let the girls back flexibility make you think you cant do it that way, cause i have very horrible back flexibility and can do it without a problem. |
